I believe old phones could get security patches if this was in the interest of the big corporations.
We could've still use our old phones without a problem but this of course is not in their interest. The same goes with auto industry, the home appliances...

We don't like to admit to ourselves but the issue is in us because we still fall for their constant persuasion from every angles. How many of us finish the day with a though "I don't saw any adds today"
Only a few probably. But it's feasible even If you are alway attacked by advertising. I've learned to ignore them and with time you don't even notice them. They are just a white noise to me.

I'm grateful for my family which thought me, I don't need all the new shiny stuff and be happy with the little things and thought me, I don't need much to be fulfilled.
