Your Telegram account could be stolen through a still unknown method. However, it is suspected that the theft occurs due to compromised Telegram servers because the reset confirmation code never reaches your mobile provider's network.
If you have a Telegram account, protect it with a password! Accounts protected with a password are not being taken over, so we assume that attackers do not have a way to bypass this protection.
However, if you have set up a password, attackers may try to steal it through phishing attacks, for example, by sending you a message that looks like it came from an official Telegram channel.
